Zenzie Tinker Conservation is more than just a conservation studio. Our professional work brings us together but our love of crafting is one of the strong bonds we have as a team. We have had an evening crafting group for some time and during the closure of the studio during lockdown we moved the crafting evening online. Our Wednesday Craft Night became an important way of keeping in touch with each other from our respective homes, sharing a glass of wine or a cup of tea whilst we chatted and crafted together.
Now we are coming back into the studio again we thought we would share our work so please do take a look below at our Pandemic Gallery showcasing the talent of the wonderful ZTC team. Our homes were a positive hive of activity – I think you can see that textile conservators do not like being idle!
And as well as crafting during the lock down period the staff of ZTC also made more than 100 pairs of scrubs for donation to the NHS via the wonderful Dolly Clothing in Lewes for her Dolly Scrubs project plus scrubs wash bags and numerous masks for friends and family. This charity work is still ongoing with Isolation gowns being the focus of some of the team.
